Positive Thinking

I realized yesterday that I have been thinking nothing but negative thoughts about being a landlady for nearly a year now and for the same amount of time, things have been going terribly wrong. So as of yesterday, I am going to try to be more positive, try those laws of attraction to see what happens. The good things about being a landlady are: a huge tax deduction, including allowing me to have my gardening be a tax deduction. Then there’s the simple fact that I could not afford to own a single family, so being a landlady allows me to be a homeowner. I’ve also been very lucky to have very nice tenants (minus the stuff last year) and have fulfilled my promise to allow pets and that gives the nice people who have pets a nice place to live. It’s a mutual appreciation thing and good in the greater scheme of things. Sometimes my tenants have helped me out, with shoveling and carrying and I’ve been able to keep in contact with people, who even though we are vastly different ages we really like each other. Then there’s the dogs, who give my dog a playmate. See there’s a lot that’s good about being a landlady. I hope to re-read this and remember and to try to think more positively and that can’t hurt.
